How happy were we to hear the dulcet tones of Joe back where he belongs? How unhappy were we to see Rotimi’s unattractive billy goat gruff chin pubes? First, and Im unsure where to start, I want to say these two things. These last two episodes literally brought me to tears. One of my good girlfriends said her 18 year old daughter had to sleep in a chair in her room because she was so terrified over what she saw. Second, for the Kelly Apologists, the “thats my boy no matter what”, the women who can fix their mouths to look down or cast judgement on these girls/women, lets assume you can look past his predilection for young women, I honestly submit to you, there is something fundamentally wrong and broken inside of you, that you can look at someone that displays such animalistic cruelty towards others and still find someway to defend such a true terrorist in the black community. You must see something you relate to in a man that strips young women of their dignity and self worth – whether they have it for themselves or not- and I hope your soul is saved one day. Friday night brought about parts 3 & 4 of this harrowing tale. Here are my thoughts in the order they occurred. Sparkle is inspiring ZERO sympathy from me at the 1/2way mark in episode 3. Im seeing alot of Kavanaugh tears. Lisa aborted their child because she was frightened it may be a girl who may grow up to be molested by her father. Horrifying. Andrea got pregnant AFTER the sex tape. Again, she knew. Funny how Kelz knew to run straight to church after bonding out of jail…..the black church is a whole nother blog SERIES that someone more knowledgeable will have to undertake. Last night a fearless team of women including, Dream Hampton, Jamilah Lemieux and Tarana Burke saw the fruits of the labor come to fruition in the form of the first two parts of a six part documentary called Surviving R. Kelly. Here’s some of my thoughts in no particular order. this may get me in a bit of hot water with a member of my homegirls crew, but where were these girls parents? 14 years old, travelling with a grown ass man? 17 and allowed to travel out of state with him? I know we all did things our parents didnt know about, but cmon. My old black mama saw me jump in the back of a car with someone SHE didnt know one day and cancelled the fuck out my junior prom…and THATS why I wasn’t there classmates….true story. Question: They handing out blue contacts at the County? Question: Do people that possibly wear blue contacts at the county think that liking young girls is a preference akin to liking hot crunchy curls over flaming hots? Monsters have teams. Dr. Mclin? #teamkelz Sparkle #teamkelz That crackish looking “tour manager” of his? #teamkelz I mean really, how does one sit up and laugh about forging documents that lead to a 15 year old girl marrying a sexual predator. This muthafucka paid Aaliyah’s family $100 to not pursue legal action and more importantly, THEY ACCEPTED IT. Again, Im left asking, WHERE WERE THE PARENTS? How did Andrea Kelly, a self proclaimed Chitown girl, not know who RKelly was? Sex with this diseased monster lead to a beautiful 17 year old GIRL almost being paralyzed for life due to contracting Guillain-Barré after catching mononucleosis from his dirty ass. “You are not alone” was about a child he raped losing his child.
